Creating a Cohesive Environment
Promoting Resilience, Respect and Social and Emotional Learning and Reducing Stigma

Our personalised training course will enable you to consider the diverse challenges children and young people may be facing within local context and support the promotion of resilience, social and emotional learning and positive self-care as part of the core of the school ethos.

The course will:

  • Provide an overview of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
  • Provide an opportunity to consider challenges within your local context
  • Explore Maslow's Hierarchy of Need and the importance of belonging, relationships and being valued
  • Give an overview of an Attachment Aware School
  • Promote resilience and respect, cross-curricular, as an integral part of Curriculum Intent.
  • Enable you to reflect on your school's ethos and environment and how to promote self-help and ensure appropriate signposting
  • Support you to tackle stigma associated with mental health within your setting and communities you support
  • Encourage you to review school policies and processes to ensure they underpin a coherent approach
  • Offer two taught sessions in a small group, with ongoing support from experienced trainers over 3 months
  • Facilitate the opportunity to build supportive relationships with others

This course has been assured for DfE grant-funded senior mental health lead training.
